Air Pollution Increases Risk Of Insulin Resistance In Children

An article in Medical News Today by Elisabeth Thiering and Joachim Heinrich, Helmholtz Zentrum and colleagues suggests that children who grow up in a polluted environment have increased risk for insulin resistance. Studies showed that insulin resistance is increased to 17% among children who are exposed to pollution while growing up.
