CoQ10 Halves Risk of Mortality in Heart Failure Patients

Coenzyme Q10 – First Drug To Improve Heart Failure Mortality In Over A Decade

“It is the first drug to improve heart failure mortality in over a decade and should be added to standard treatment.” We’ve been saying this for years. I can’t tell you the amount of people I’ve talked to with heart failure and have suggested Coq10 to only to have them tell me. I don’t want to do anything my doctor won’t approve of. And of course their doctor is afraid and tells them not to take anything but their medication.

This study found that patients on CoQ10 reduced the risk of dying by 50%.They had lower risk of cardiovascular mortality, hospitalizations and adverse events.

My dog suffered from heart failure 2 years ago and was given 3-6 months to live. The vet gave us medications that we used for a short time but added CoQ10 to her treatment protocol. Then we weaned her off her meds and she is still fine. The vet still thinks it was the medication. We don’t have the heart to tell him we stopped giving her the medications.

The article also discusses how statins reduce the levels of CoQ10 in the body. We always suggest supplementation with CoQ10 any time you take statins.

Let’s hope doctors hear about this study. You’ll have to be the ones to carry the messages as CoQ10 has no reps going from doctor to doctor’s office giving out free samples. Make sure you print out this article and take it to your doctor even if you don’t have a heart problem. Your doctor needs to know and hopefully countless lives can be saved.
