Increased Vitamin D Intake May Increase Chances for Pregnancy

Study: Vitamin D levels predict pregnancy following IVF

According to a recent study, women who have higher levels of vitamin D have more chances of getting pregnant after vitro fertilization (IVF). IVF is a major treatment in which a woman’s egg is fertilized by sperm outside the body. 173 Canadian women were examined by researchers at Mount SinaiHospital in Toronto. Research showed that about 55% of the women had sufficient levels of vitamin D, while the remaining 35% had insufficient levels.
