New Analysis Of The Contents Of Lipstick And Lip Gloss May Cause You To Pause Before Puckering

A new research at the University of California detected lead, cadmium, chromium, aluminum and five other metals in 32 different lipsticks found in drugstores and department stores. Prior studies have also found metals in lipsticks; however, what is quite alarming is the amount of metals found in them.
According to S. Katharine Hammond, professor of environmental health sciences, who is also the principal investigator in the study, said the levels of metal found in the lipsticks can actually have serious health effects in the long run.
