Oil Pulling

Oil Pulling

Oil pulling has been used for detoxification in Ayurvedic Medicine for centuries. It is an easy process that can be used daily to help detoxify the body.

The process is very simple.

Use 1 tbsp. of oil

Swish in mouth, don’t gargle with it.

Do not swallow the oil. It now has bacteria and toxins from mouth.

Keep your chin straight don’t do any other activities. Keep your mind and body relaxed.

Rinse mouth for 30 minutes. (I suggest you spit in garbage if possible).

While swishing the oil it should feel less oily and become a bit more like watery and will become white or yellow colored. It will also start to foam.

I’ve used 3 types of oil for oil pulling. Traditional Ayurvedic Medicine uses sesame or sunflower oil. I also find coconut oil to work well. Make sure you spit any coconut oil in the garbage as it becomes solid around room temperature and can clog drains.

I find this article and your link very interesting. Few people take notice or realize how the health of your mouth can and does effect the health of your overall body.
