People often ask what they should take for bone health. My usual answer is Jarrow Fomulas Bone-Up. We like this product for a number of reasons. We have found that is does promote bone density in our patients and they are very happy with it.
Bone-Up contains microcrystalline hydroxyapatite from Australian or New Zealand calves which we believe to be one of the most effective forms of calcium to use. Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite is a well absorbed calcium source and contains bone organic constituents as well as necessary minerals.
MK-7 is a form of vitamin K found in Bone-Up used to support calcium deposits into the bone. There are also 1000 IUs of vitamin D3 per serving and 500 mg of magnesium.

Discussion
Jarrow Bone-Up is a great product to help you promote healthy bone density. We highly recommend it in our office and find it a great value for all our patients. My suggestion is to start early in taking the product before menopause if you are a woman. Keep a good baseline to your bone density before your hormone change. If you are male I would start taking the product when you are around 50 years of age.
Occasionally we see patients that in spite of doing everything right and taking care of themselves with supplements and diet still have difficulties with bone density. For those patients we do recommend further testing but often we find the patient suffers with gluten sensitivity. If we can get the patient gluten free they seem to do a lot better with diet and supplementation. Something to keep in mind if you are also struggling with keeping up your bone density.

Love Bone-Up been using it for years.
Thanks for sharing. I’ll keep this in mind once I decide to have a maintenance vitamin.
I wonder if this bone density vitamin is a good one and will not have any side effects. I’m thinking of getting my father this.
