Big breakfast diet could ‘boost fertility for PCOS women’


According to the researchers at the University of Tel Aviv, women who are suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome, or more commonly known as PCOS, may increase their chances for pregnancy by controlling insulin levels through eating big breakfast (with more calories) and cutting back on them during dinner. The head of the study Prof. Daniela Jakubowicz, notes that most PCOS women are also insulin resistant, which means that they have an overproduction of insulin in their body, causing the production of more testosterone, which eventually messes up with fertility. Most doctors find weight loss to be the ultimate solution for PCOS women as this is one way to manage their insulin levels.
