Don’t Put Your Veggies In Dark Places


According to a new research done by RiceUniversity and the University of California at Davis, fruits and vegetables would be a lot more beneficial to our health if they aren’t kept in dark places. Rice biologist Janet Braam, the lead researcher of the current study published in Current Biology said that fruits and veggies don’t actually die at the time of harvest. They continue to respond to whatever environment they are in for days and researchers found that light could be helpful in making them more beneficial to one’s health.
