Smokers Taking Vitamin C During Pregnancy May Head Off Lung Problems In Newborns

It is a known fact that smoking during pregnancy can lead to health problems of the newborn. Thus, pregnant women are always advised to avoid or quit smoking. Nonetheless, according to a recent study, taking Vitamin C can actually improve the newborn’s lung function even while the mother continues to smoke during her pregnancy.

It was found that taking Vitamin C during pregnancy can help eliminate wheezing and other respiratory disease symptoms on infants born to a smoking mother.
