Weight Loss Improves Memory and Alters Brain Activity in Overweight Women

A new study finds that weight loss among overweight women may help improve their memory and brain activities. Lead author Andreas Pettersson, MD, a PhD student at UmeaUniversity, Umea, Sweden, suggests that obesity-related impairments in the brain function are actually reversible through the help of proper diet and weight loss. The study found that subjects who lost weight have shown more improvements in memory function.
