This article in Alternative Medicine discusses a very timely topic. I’ve heard from numerous people how much better they feel now that they are gluten free. However not everyone has celiac issues and a lot of people do feel better because they suffer from wheat allergies.

This article discusses how non-celiac wheat sensitivity (NCWS) may affect the digestive tract. This study sheds a light on why many people that are non-celiac may feel better when they are off wheat. The study suggests that abstaining from wheat may effect a change in the bacteria in the intestines. This can effect a change in symptoms of IBS and also in the intestinal immune system.
