Perhaps we all know that drinking a glass of red wine a day is good for our health. However, just recently, researchers found that drinking wine may also help reduce the risk of depression. The findings of the study revealed that those who drank moderate amounts of alcohol (5 to 15 g a day) were less likely to suffer from depression.Additionally, those who drank a moderate amount of wine on a weekly basis (two to seven small glasses a week), were found to have an even lower risk of depression. There have also been previous research studies that suggest drinking alcohol in moderation may help reduce heart risks. Although the study authors say there are many strengths for this study, including the large sample size, they warn of some limitations.
