Gravel Root
Gravel Root (Eupatorium purpureum) is also commonly known as Joe Pye, Kidney Root, Purple Boneset, Queen of the Meadow, and Trumpet Weed. It is a member of the Asteraceae/Compositae family. The applicable parts of gravel root are the above ground parts, rhizome, and roots.
Gravel Root has been used for support of the urniary tract system, rheumatism, fever, as a stimulant, tonic, and duiretic. Gravel Root may also have anti-inflammation properities. No studies have been done to support these claims.
