Hydrangea Root
Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens) is indigenous to the eastern United States. The roots and rhizomes are the appicable parts. Hydrangea contains saponins, flavonoids (including, among others, rutin), volatile oil, and isocoumarin derivatives (including, among others, hydrangenol). Hydrangea has a diuretic effect. It has been used for urinary tract conditiong, particularly bladder and kidney stones.
