Methyl Sulfonyl Methane

Methylsulfonylmethane, or MSM, is a natural form of the trace mineral sulfur. It is sometimes referred to as Dimethysuflone. MSM is a nonmetallic organic compound that can be found in most foods. Sulfur is often not recognized for it's important roles within the body. Sulfur is found in every cell and is important to structural and internal health. Sulfur is important to the body's production and maintenance of connective tissues, cartilage, tendons, skin, and joints. MSM is also important to proteins and immune health. Sulfur is increasingly being depleted from the diet, mostly unintentionally, even though the mineral is important for the body.
