Proteins is an essential nutrient to all living things. Proteins can be found in the cells and are involved in every body function. Proteins are large chains made up of amino acids. There are 22 amino acids that are important to human health. Protein from animal sources is considered complete because it contains the 9 essential amino acids. Plant sources often lack one or more of the essential amino aicds and are considered incomplete.
