Glycyrrhetinic Acid is an oleanolic acid from Glycyrrhiza. Glycyrrhetinic Acid has some antiallergic, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. Orally, glycyrrhetinic acid has been used for its aldosterone effects in electrolyte regulation. Topically, glycyrrhetinic acid is used for allergic or infectious inflammation of the skin.
