Nerve Growth Factor
Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) is a naturally occurring mole in the body. NGF stimlulates the growth and differentiation in sympathetic and sensory neurons of the central and peripheral nervous system. It is a protein that contains three interacting polypeptide chains, alpha-, beta-, and gamma-. The NGF beta chain is responsible for the nerve growth activity. It also helps protect nerve cells against damage, including cholinergic degeneration. Nerve Growth Factors improve memory and enhance nervel functioning.
