Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle (Lonicera caprifolia) is cultivated extensively in the northerm temperate zones in the subtropics. The flowers, seeds and leaves of honeysuckle can all be used medicinally. The active constituents of honeysuckle are believed to be saponin and luteolin. Honeysuckle has been used for digestive disorders, as a laxative, for colds, fever, inflammation, swelling, sores, and bacterial infections.
