Grifola Frondosa
Grifola Frondosa, more commonly known as Maitake, is a large mushroom that grows deep in the mountains of Japan. An organic form of the 'dancing mushroom' is now being cultivated in the United States. Mushrooms are a great source of immune-boosting compounds called polysaccharides. Maitake hosts the most potent polysaccharides discovered. The primary polysaccharide found in Maitake is beta-D-glucan. Maitake has been used for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides levels.
