Beta glucans are made up of Beta 1-3 and Beta 1-6 Glucans. Beta glucans are polysaccharides coming mainly from the cell walls of fungi, bacteria, algae, lichens, oats and barley. Beta glucans are in cereals and grains as well. Beta glucans are a water soluble fiber consisting of glucose molecules.
