Eucalyptus trees are distinctive with their silver-gray bark and twisted trunks. Eucalyptus has medicinal properties in its leaves, which can be used fresh or dried, and in an oil extracted from the leaves.
The Eucalyptus leaf contains volatile oils, particularly eucalyptol which give antiseptic. secretion-stimulating, expectorant and weak antispasmodic properties.
