White Kidney Bean
Kidney beans have been used in traditional folk medicine for acne, bladder, burns, diabetes, diarrhea, diuretic, dropsy, dysentery, eczema, emolient, hiccups, itch, kidney, resolvent, and rheumatism. The kidney bean is commonly harvested in temperate and subtropical regions around the world. It is a member of the Fabaceae/Leguminosae family.
White Kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is the source of Phase 2. Phase 2, or Phaseolamin 2250, is a natural food extract that helps the body neutralize starch from carbohydrates. Phase 2 works by preventing the absorption of carbohydrate calories by the body; it inhibts the alpha amylase enzymes from completing its normal function of converting starch into sugar calories. Instead, the body processes the carbohydrate food through the digestive system and reduces the calorie intake.
