Other FormsDimethylglycine HCl
Dimethylglycine, or DMG, is a non-protein amino acid that is found naturally in plant and animal cells. DMG is produced from trimethylglcine and betaine. It is absorbed by the small intestine and transported to the liver. In the liver DMG is metabolized into monomethylglycine which in turn becomes glycine. The DMG that does not get metabolized in the liver is transported by the circulatory system to various body tissues.
DMG is a water soluble solid that is also known as N, N-dimethylglycine.
