Anterior Pituitary

The anterior pituitary is part of the endocrine system. It is located in the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. The anterior pituitary gland is involved in regulating many physiological processes such as stress, growth and reproduction. These actions are largely influenced by the hypothalamus which helps the anterior pituitary gland produce and secrete several peptide hormones.
