Vibheetaki is an Ayurvedic name. The common name of the traditional remedy is Beleric myrobalan and the Latin name is Terminalia belerica. Vibheetaki is pungent and sweet. It has been used for astringent and mild laxative properties. It is said to loosen secretions and excretions as well as treat the loss of voice. Vibheetake is good for the eyes. In Ayurvedic medicine, vibheetaki checks Kapha and Pitta.
