Benfortiamine

Benfotiamine is a fat soluble form of vitamin B-1. Benfotiamine was patented in the 60s in Japan. Benfotiamine has been used in Europe for a number of years but has just recently been introduced to the United States. High glucose level in the blood cause formation of AGE in vascular cells which can result in cell death. Benfotiamine corrects delayed replication and increase lactate production which may result in cellular death due to high glucose levels.
