Bupleurum

Bupleurum is scientifically known as Bupleurum Chinese, Chai-Hu, or Chinese Thoroughwax. The root is the portion of the plant used medicinally. Bupleurum is used for a variety of ailments such as fevers, flu, common colds, cough, fatigue, headache, congestion, muscle cramps, pain, et cetera. The saiko saponins that the plant contains have demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects. Bupleurum is also used in herbal combination formulas.
