Other Forms of L-Lysine
L-Lysine HCLL-Lysine
L-Lysine is an essential amino acid protein. This means that the protein cannot be produced by the body and must be provided by the diet. Good sources of lysine are meat, poultry, fish, and milk. Other sources such as grains, cereals and vegetabels do contain lysine although in low concentrations. L-Lysine is involved in the synthesis of collagen and is important to bone health. L-Lysine also interacts with L-Arginine in ways that could be beneficial to good health.
Lysine has no recorded interactions with other drugs. However, when combined with calcium supplements, lysine may help increase calcium absorption.
For the most part, lysine is well tolerated. However, there have been some occasional reports of diarrhea and abdominal pain.
