Helleborus Niger

Black Hellebore (Helleborus Niger) is a member of teh Ranunculaceae family. The plant is native to the forests of southern and central Europe. The rhizome and underground parts can be used for medicinal purposes. Black hellebore contains saponins, and glycosides. Black hellebore has been used for nausea, regulating menstruation, head colds, and as a laxative. It is often used as a homeopathic remedy.
