Grindelia Robusta

Gumweed (Grindelia Robusta) is a member of the Asteraceae/Compositae family. The plant grows in the southwestern United States and Mexico. The flowering top and leaves can be used for medicinal purposes. Gumweed contains a volatile oil, polyynes, saponins, tannins, and flavonoids. Gumweed has been used for cough and bronchitis, and inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.
