Ruta Graveolens

Rue, or ruta graveolens, can be found in the Balkans, southern Alps, southern France, and Spain. Rue is used in both medicinal and homeopathic formulas. The above ground parts of the plant can be used. Rue contains alkaloids, volatile oil, flavonoids hyroxycoumarins, lignans, pryanocoumarins, and furocoumarins. Rue has been used for a variety of ailments.
