Acai Fruit

Acai is a member of the Areaceae family. It can be found in Central and South America. The fruit and roots have been used in traditional medicines for gastrointestinal complaints. The sap of the tree has demonstrated astringent effects. Acai provides the body with antioxidants, polyunstaturated and saturated fatty acids (oleic acid, palmitic acid, linoleic acid), phytosterols, and vitamin C.
