Dulse

Dulse, or Palmaria palmata, is a red seaweed that grows in the North Atlantic and Northwest Pacific. Dulse is a rose to reddish-purple color and can grow from 20 to 40 cm. Dulse can be eaten after being sun dried, fried, or ground up into flakes or powder and used as a nutritional supplement.

Dulse is a great nutritional source. It contains high amounts of vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 as well as iron, potassium, and fluoride. Dulse has a low sodium content but is rich in other protein, minerals, and nutrients.
