Pilocarpus Jaborandi Extract

Pilocarpus Jaborandi, also known as Jaborandi, is a member of the Rutacea family. The bitter-tasting plant grows in the northeastern part of Brazil. The leaf can be used in medicinal formulas. Jaborandi contains imidazole alkaloids and a volatile oil. Jaborandi has been used for diarrhea and as a diaphoretic. It is also used in topical formulas for glaucoma.

Today, jaborandi is not often used.
