Wolfberry Fruit (Fructus Lycii) has a sweet and neutral taste. It is used to tonify the kidneys; nourish the liver and brighten the eyes; and moisten the lungs. Wolfberry fruit, known botanically as Lycium barbarum, is harvested during the summer solstice and dried in the shade. The plant can be found in several providences of China.
