Indian Gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica) is a member of the Euphorbiaceae family. Other common names for the plant are Neli and Aamalaki. Indian Gooseberry is a native tree to India and the Middle East. The fruit and leaves can be used for medicinal purposes. Indian Gooseberry has been a part of Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.
