*This standardized herbal extract formula provides multifaceted support for the body during the hormonal changes that occur during menopause. PhytoBalance contains phytoestrogens, natural substances in plants that bind to estrogen receptor sites and exhibit weak estrogen-like activity. Each VCapsule Contains Medicago sativa (alfalfa) extract (10:1) 100 mg. Rehmanniae extract (6:1) 100 mg. Angelica senesis (dong quai) extract (6:1)Angelica senesis (dong quai) extract (6:1) 100 mg. Glycyrrhiza (licorice root) extract (standardized to contain 12% glycyrrhizic acid) 100 mg. Leonurus cardiaca (motherwort) extract (4:1) 50 mg. itex (chaste tree) extract (5:1) 50 mg. dioscorea (wild yam) extract (10:1) 50 mg. Cimicifuga racemosa (black cohosh) extract (standardized to contain 2.5% triterpene glycosides) 50 mg.

Suggested Use

2–4 capsules per day, in divided doses, between meals.

Warnings/Cautions

Not to be taken by pregnant or lactating women. For sensitive individuals, this formula may cause headache, nausea, dizziness, and abdominal discomfort. Persons with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or a history of SLE should avoid the use of alfalfa products. Licorice may be contraindicated for individuals with hypertension, but typically not in the amounts provided in this formula. This formula may potentially react with certain medications, including: corticosteroids, NSAIDS,diuretics, and blood thinning and other heart medications.
