Suggested Use

Use one serving within 30 minutes following completion of exercise (best absorption of nutrients occur after exercise). Or, may be used in place of a meal during the day. Mix 1 1/2 to 3 scoops of powder with 6-8 oz. water, milk, soy milk or your favorite beverage. You may blend powder with liquid, ice and fruits for smoothies, mix with cold or cooked cereals, add to baked items, bread, muffins, or frozen desserts.

I'm a distance runner, so I find Muscle Optimeal very beneficial as a "pre-run" drink (consume about 8 oz.) just before early morning, or lunch-time runs of either 4 or 24 miles duration. I use it as a meal replacer for times that I want nutrition before a run, so it works well for me. I also use it as intended as a recovery drink, to be consumed within 30 minutes of a running workout. This use is when one really needs the right nutrients going to depleted muscles. So, this is great for pre-run energy, as well as for required recovery nutrients. It works very well before and after every run or race, and I also have used it for on-the-run energy/fuel for training runs of over 26 miles in length.
