Mustard (Sinapis alba) is a familiar seasoning found in many kitchens throughout the world. Mustard is cultivated in Europe and the norhtern United States. The small white to brown seeds are used medicinally. They retard bacteria growth. Mustard has been used for broncitis, colds, cough, fever, rheumatism, sore throat, and infection. It is also commonly known as white mustard.
