Eupatorium Perfoliatum is the scientific, or latin name of Boneset. Boneset is a member of the Asteraceae/Compositae family and also commonly known as Agueweed, Crosswort, Feverwort, and Indian Sage. It is native to the Eastern United States.

Boneset is and always has been a popular remedy among the Native Americans. The leaf and flowering parts of the plant are used in homeopathic remedies. The active constituents of Boneset are sesquiterpene lactones which researchers believe have immunostimulant activities.
